The Project:

We had long been thinking about getting double glazing, and had considered national companies like Everest, but liked the idea of using a local company. As luck would have it, one of your salesmen was delivering leaflets down our street, so I stopped him and asked him for more information.

The house still had the original single glazed windows. We wanted double glazing to improve the insulation and reduce noise. Also, the soffits and fascias were rotten and needed replacing as did the timber ‘Tudor’ styling on the front of the house.

Design Consultation Process:

The thing I remember most about the salesman was he was anxious to advise us that the options we were choosing were not the cheapest options available. He took time to explain that the choices we were making (black frames, leaded window pattern, front door, bathroom glass patterning) were the more expensive options and that less expensive options were available. He also contacted the manager of the company to discuss options for the ‘Tudor’ styling at the front of the house. The manager came to the house and went over the options with us. In short, the design consultation process was excellent, and each member of the company spent time and care to ensure we got want we wanted.

Survey and Installation Process:

The installation process was fantastic from start to finish. Due to having the soffits and fascias replaced it required scaffolding to be arranged. This was all arranged by Wiltshire Windows. The scaffolders turned up when we were told they would to erect and removed the scaffolding when the job was complete. The team installing the windows, front door, replacing the soffits and fascias and the ‘Tudor’ effect styling were very professional at all times. They arrived when they said they would and would let us know when they were leaving. They were clean, neat and tidy with their work – and they had a lot to contend with due to cavity wall insulation polystyrene balls flooding out when the windows were removed – making sure everything was cleaned up after they’d finished.

Customer Review:

We are very happy with the work that was done and the quality of the windows. We have certainly enjoyed the improved noise reduction and the reduction in our heating costs.
